Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Voltage Drop Calculator (“we”, “us”, “our”), available at voltage-dropcalculator.com (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1) What this Service is
The Service is a real-time electrical helper that estimates key outputs such as voltage drop, percentage drop, and voltage at load based on the inputs you provide, including conductor material (copper/aluminum), wire size (AWG/kcmil), conduit material, power factor, circuit phase (DC / AC single-phase / AC 3-phase), parallel runs, distance units, and load current.
This Service provides general calculations and educational information only. It does not provide engineering, electrical, safety, legal, or code-compliance advice. Electrical work can be hazardous—if there’s any doubt, consult a licensed electrician or qualified engineer.
2) Code guidance & “recommended limits”
We may display guidance such as recommended voltage-drop targets (for example, a “recommended limit” of less than 3% for certain cases). These are informational guidelines, may vary by project and authority having jurisdiction, and do not guarantee compliance or safety.
3) Your responsibilities
- Use the Service lawfully and responsibly.
- Double-check your inputs (units, one-way distance, phase selection, conductor sets, material choice) before relying on any output.
- Validate results against manufacturer data, local codes/standards, and project constraints where applicable.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the Service.
4) How calculations are estimated
Voltage drop is commonly estimated using Ohm’s law concepts (voltage drop relates to current and impedance/resistance), and formulas vary by circuit type (e.g., different multipliers for single-phase vs 3-phase). We provide the formulas and explanations on the site for transparency, but real-world conditions (temperature, installation method, harmonics, terminations, and conductor bundling) can change outcomes.
5) Intellectual property
The Service’s original design, text, and code are protected by copyright and other laws. You may link to the Service, but you may not reproduce or redistribute significant portions without permission, except as allowed by applicable law.
6) Third-party services
We may use third-party providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, security) and may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
7) No warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that results will be accurate for your specific installation, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of (or reliance on) the Service.
9) Changes to the Service and Terms
We may modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms occasionally. If changes are material, we’ll take reasonable steps to notify you (e.g., posting a notice on the site). Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
10) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of laws. Venue and jurisdiction will be in courts located in Pakistan, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
